| Having spent most of my adult life in countries outside America, lends a culturally hybrid nature to my mature psyche. I have absorbed perceptions and visual imagery from South-East Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and Europe. My aesthetic articulates the nurturing of a harmonious integration of influences and my art works are imbued with this eclectic blend. | |||
| The undulating forms and pulsating lines that predominate in my work find an effortless momentum through the earthiness of clay. The precision and masculine hardness of the steel that I use contrasts the soft feminine feeling of the clay. This harmony of shapes and media manifests from a deeply meditative place. My work is gyno-centric and I celebrate the bounty of the sacred feminine in my sculptures, while honoring the Tantric balance of masculinity. It is through this balance between steel and clay, male and female, that I speak passionately about the spiritual aspect of eroticism. | |||
| Through my creative process I am opening myself to be recreated by and reconnected to The Source. My work reflects the intensity of my experience and the healing aspect of the creative process. I intend my creations to be altars of gratitude; objects to exude grace from the hearts of those who experience them. I infuse my work with the intention to inspire others to transform and evolve. |
