| I am attracted to the narrative qualities of art. Working with found images and my own photography, I create imaginary places, people, and events which seem oddly familiar to everyone. My work is most successful when it evokes a sense of mystery and wonder, and stirs a faint recognition of a distant memory or dream one once had. | |||
| Having traveled extensively before the age of ten, bits and pieces of the countries I visited appear in my imaginary landscapes. They are not accurate representations, but scenes that remind me of a particular place or time. Subtle oddities incorporated into my work create a sense of mystery, encouraging the viewer to look closer and invent their own story. | |||
| The possibilities that can occur from the combination of photography and printmaking are endless. Screen printing allows me to create photo-like images out of collages, and various transfer methods allow me to produce a more painterly photograph. |
